The End and the Beginning

"It was my Master's decision, and that is what I have to obey. I may not look like an older priest but I can easily be a new starter." I stared at her and shook my head.

I continued to gaze at him, there was no way he was too...beautiful at least on the surface no..even under the surface yet there was still that darkness about him that I saw. "No...not even as a young priest..your master...clearly has no visual aspect of what a priest should look like. I've seen plenty of young priests in my day..starters they don't...well you just don't fit their description."

The air became cold as if the air was sucked from the room. I sighed and shook my head, "Enough please. This is what I was assigned, unless I chop off my hair and scar my face, this is the best I can do." I raised my hand, claw emerging and I lightly raked them against my left eye, scars appearing there. "This should do for now."

My hand reached in protest of him scaring himself, but I had been to slow and I frowned. "I didn't mean for you to do that..." I sighed "And I know what you were assigned but..well still. And the scar doesn't change it.."

"The scar isn't real, it's just an illusion set to fool humans... My brother was the only other option and I know he wouldn't even come close to what a Priest is."

"Oh...well it may just be me then I don't know..sorry I really probably shouldn't be bothering you."

I sighed and at down, awaiting for the guests to arrive. "My mission is to find any impure souls while we are here, I have a hunch one is in the church one again. A guest only but I must find who it is and take them in."

"So like...you guys go off killing any impure soul? You know that is a lot of souls....I don't think there is one person alive in these days that doesn't have some form of an impure soul..well minus children of course."

"Only certain ones my dear. Like that Priest who touched the innocent children. He deserved it. No what we seek is people who have committed unforgivable crimes and do not feel regret."

"I see..but you have to have proof..right..so that means..you might be here for awhile?" I asked a faint smile finding it's way to my lips.

"I suppose. I could be here for centuries, who knows. Or I could be leaving tomorrow. It all depends on Him." I noticed her smile and nodded, taking the robe off for the day. "I don't think anyone is coming. They all heard about how the Priest died. I doubt anyone wishes to be near this church right now."

"On him? You mean your boss? And I doubt it they are probably planning a funeral or something for him..who knows."
