The walking

I didn't know why I existed, nor did I know why I was here. My Master kept me locked in a room, my body chained up. The walls are covered in black and green gunk, and mice crawl around everywhere. I am so hungry, they even look tasty to me. Everytime he visits me, he unchains my mask and tosses a hunk of red, gunk covered substance. It smells so good to me that I eat it, as soon as I'm done though, he chains my face back up with that mask and locks the door, the lights off. Why do I even exist?

My head felt dizzy as I could feel my body being dragged into what I had figured to be a cell or a dungeon. The floor was cold and there was no bed, they cuffed my wrists to chains that were attached to the wall and excited my cell, they locked it on their way out. I was officially a prisoner to whom I didn't know...and I didn't know why. My dress in which I had spent a month on making was now ruined. Mud caked to my flesh and my hair in knots....I still couldn't make since of what had happened earlier that night.

"Eat up." My master spoke to me, walking in front of me to unchain my mask. I looked around, my eyes glazed over with hunger. I crawled to what I smelled and stared at it. it was a girl. I blinked once more to make sure. She smelled so sweet. Why did she smell like my food? I didn't know.

I hoped I had been delusional but..it sounded like a voice which came from no where had told a boy now percent in front of me to....eat me. I had to be having a nightmare, my heart quickened as I began to sweat. "St...stay away from me.."

"......" I stared at her more, licking my lips hungrily. "I...You smell good...." I didn't know why but I really wanted to eat this innocent girl, but my mind, or what was left of it, said no. I was conflicted.

"I....I'm not above haunting people you know..." I stammered as if I actually thought what ever these beast was would care if I haunted him or not. And how would I know if I could haunt him? I didn't have a clue what the after life was like. I didn't really care to find out, in a panic I began to attempt to unshackle myself.

"Don't struggle, your....making the smell thicken." I tilted my head and sat down next to her slightly, my chains preventing me to go any further. At the most, if I did eat her, It would be only her legs and her other parts that are below the belt. If I could blush, I would've blushed by now thinking of that.

I quickly folded my legs up realizing how close he was to me and that he could only go so far because of his own chain. "I ...don't care I want out of here. This is mad. This is either a horrid nightmare, someone is pulling a really mean joke on me, or a crazy man really kidnapped me and whats his...well..what ever you are to eat me!"

Whatever I am? I am human. I am me right? I blinked and frowned, looking down. "I'm so hungry... I..I am me though, I am what I am.. Human right?" I looked at her with eyes that spoke a thousand songs and poems of self finding. What was I? I ate whatever he gve me, not thinking on what it was. But now I see what it was; human. Was I eating my own kind?

"You...don't look like any human I've ever meet.." I whispered and hugged my knees to my chest. I allowed my eyes to roam around trying to adjust to the dark. Was the voice still here, if so where was he. If his pet didn't kill me...would he? Why was it I that was to die...I had never imagined anything like this could happen to me.

"I......" I glared at her and lunged only to be choked a bit, gagging a little. ".....gr..." I was human, how dare she say I wasn't! Yes, I had a different, horrible, gross life but I was still human right? Why did she have to judge my life? I wasn't judging hers.. Was I?

I jumped back a bit and let out a shrill "Leave me alone! You..what ever you are..." I sobbed he didn't completely look un-human but I could tell he wasn't human.

"......." I glared even more and reached for her, my nails barely nicking her. I saw the faint line of blood on my nails and licked it off, my eyes widening. "ah...." I smiled faintly and looked at her, my face saying one word: food.

She shivered and clung to the wall "S...see how can you call yourself human...look at your nails....feel your teeth...."

I scooted back against the wall even more attempting to get as far away from him as I possibly could panic continuing to grow in me. "S...see...look at yourself...h..how can you think you are human...wi..with your nails....your teeth...and...and you're trying to eat me! What about that is human..."

Do you think I like this life? Living in this chamber since as long as I can remember? Almost starving to death but eating whatever he gives me when I am on the brink? I sighed and wish I could say all of that but my speech was already fading. Now and again, my brain seemed to shut off, and tonight it was shutting off.

"exactly you can't say that you are..." I whispered hoping that the voice wouldn't let him off his chain. I didn't feel like being eaten

"I see, the chain is too short. Fine for once I will let you out, eat her quickly now, or you wont get any food for the rest of the year." I looked at him with fear and nodded, licking my lips.

I let out a worried shrike and began to struggle against the chains again "Who the hell are you! You bastard! What you have a problem with girls so you seek them on your beast!" her eyes turned to the guy in front of her "And yes that is what you are...a beast...attacking someone who is innocent."

I almost teared up but I knew no tears would fall, I was completely dehydrated and famished. I looked down at myself, my skin lightly over my bones that showed. I looked like a walking skeleton because of how skinny I was. "Do it now, I grow tired of her voice. Do it or I'll kill you worthless beast."

"What's the matter huh! You too scared to do anything yourself! Your just as much of a beast as he is! What you have to hide behind darkness! And create beasts! You're Pathetic!!!"

He brought out a gun and cocked it, placing it upon my head. "Do it now.....my dearest pet." I stared at her and reached for her leg hungrily, my claws nicking her once more. I realized my chain was off and thought to myself, Why can't I just eat him? I grinned and looked at her with eyes that said I wont eat you, I'm going to eat him. I looked back at him and stood, his eyes widening. "I said kill HER not me you vile beast!" I growled and grabbed the gun hand and threw him to the ground, and lunged at him, biting into his throat, ripping it out violently.

I brought my legs back up hugging them as he attacked the man, I couldn't say that I wasn't happy he hadn't killed me. And he had killed this awful man, but I still feared for myself. I was still chained to this wall and seeing a man get killed isn't exactly the prettiest site in the world.

I killed him finally and cocked the gun, shooting him in the head to make sure and stared at her. She was still chained. I nodded and searched his lifeless body and found the keys and unlocked her and backed up, sitting. "Go..." I was still hungry to be honest and I felt bad she was that scared. I would rather eat the gunk than her at this moment in time.

I was frozen for a moment just staring up at him, there was still hunger in his eyes. I could read it clearly, slowly I made my way to my feet and looked at the dead man. Soon I found myself running out of the cell, it took me awhile but I finally found my way out. As I got out I found myself in the middle of a forest.."Where in the hell am I..." I whispered to myself I had no skills when it came to woods. I'd die out here "Great..so I'm screwed anyway"
